Pirate's Code {Movie Review}

About The Pirate’s Code

“In this follow up to Mickey Matson and the Copperhead Treasure, Mickey Matson is at it again; this time pitted against the evil Admiral Ironsides and his gang of pirates who are intent on destroying civilization. Their new invention, the Tesla Coil, is a weapon of mass destruction that will send an electromagnetic pulse throughout the world, destroying every electronic device in existence. With the help of a secret organization, Mickey and his best friend Sully embark on a mission to stop the pirates from taking over a submarine and stealing the last part needed to complete their devastating weapon. If Admiral Ironsides succeeds in his plan, civilization will be sent back to the Stone Age. It’s a race against time, and the fate of the world hangs in the balance.”

Our thoughts

When my boys and I saw the trailer (see below), we really wanted to watch and review this movie.

When the package arrived, we were literally jumping up and down, yelling “It’s here, it’s here!” They wanted to watch it right away, but we held off to watch it on our normal family movie night.

We were not disappointed! We watched it for Family night, with pizza and pop, and it was great fun. There was suspense, mystery, action, and of course, PIRATES!

The movie was really well filmed, and even the special effects were good. (At the end, they had a “How they did it” section that showed how they made some of the special effects. That was cool.)

The actors were really good in it, too. There were a couple who weren’t quite up to par, but that’s okay.

My husband didn’t quite get the storyline, but the kids sure loved it! They keep saying how Pirate’s Code is the best, and awesome, and wonderful. LOL. So it’s definitely a family favorite here!

My personal favorite characters were Jeremiah and Billy Joe. Make sure you watch the special added scenes to see them singing a hymn. 🙂
