When I signed up for Flyby Productions’ Love Inspired Series opp, I assumed I would be getting a pdf version, like the last series opp. Imagine my surprise when a box of 6 books was delivered to my doorstep!
I was not required to read each of these books in the time allotted. Though they are a series, they are stand-alone books. “The Love Inspired product line is a series of 6 books that are released every month & only have a shelf-life of one month.”

The books I received were Winning the Teacher’s Heart by Jean C. Gordon, A Firefighter’s Promise by Patricia Johns, The Rancher Takes a Bride by Brenda Minton, The Doctor’s Second Chance by Missy Tippens, Bachelor to the Rescue by Lorraine Beatty and The Single Dad Finds a Wife by Felicia Mason.
I admit that I took the books out one at a time and looked at the covers. I went with the most interesting covers as well as the titles that intrigued me the most. So the last book I read was the Firefighter’s Promise.
I love how all of the books have both the female and male perspectives throughout the books. Although it does get a little grating with how I feel bursting with wanting to say to each of them “S/he DOES love you! Just speak your mind!” because no one ever believes s/he is good enough for the other! It’s amazing. I suppose it is human nature though. Same thing happened with my hubby and me! 🙂 It’s just hard to see it so vividly. 😉
Sweet romances, with no bad smut in them. Strong, faithful, sweet, loving, hard-working men, and strong, capable, sweet, caring, faithful women. These are light inspirational; though God is mentioned every so often, there really isn’t a depth of faith there, like I prefer.
There were a few mistakes throughout each book, but nothing huge.
My biggest complaint would be the covers. My son asked me why “the guy has so many girlfriends.” He thought each cover had the same guy on the front, with a new girl for him in each story! Eek! After he told me that, I looked, and there are very few differences between the men on each cover.
