My friend was looking at a particular site for Wildcrafting, and I think the site’s ideals are not in line with mine, so I wanted to find some others. I searched for a while and found a few good ones. 🙂
About Jenn: I’m a Christian wife to an amazing man (since 1998) and a stay-at-home-teaching mom to four special & incredible boys (born in 2004, 2005, 2007, & 2009). I’m messy and cluttered, but working on that (really, I am!). I’m a discouraged perfectionist and a classic procrastinator who probably has both ADD & Autism, so I tend to jump from topic to topic (and activity to activity) without notice. My Love Languages are Words of Affirmation and Physical Touch. I’m an INFP who enjoys friends but loves to be alone. I love getting and giving hugs, and encouragement is a Spiritual gift of mine that can too-easily be turned into the weapon of discouragement, if I’m not careful. I enjoy writing, singing, words, drawing, photography, digital creations, and reading. Oh, and pizza, tacos, and steak. Now I’m hungry. That reminds me; I eat gluten free and try to eat organic and avoid white sugar and GMOs as much as possible. Find me on Facebook (Writer/Editor page) (Fan page), Twitter, Pinterest, or Instagram.
What’s so great about CTC Math? Have you ever heard of it? It’s an Australian math site that is amazing! For years, math for my 11 year old meant tears. Lots of tears. Lots of whining, crying, balking and complaining. Hours and hours just to get through a couple pages of problems. So I looked….
I have my very first guest post in a series! I’m super excited! It’s on Sarah’s My Joy-filled Life. I’m thrilled that Sarah has graciously allowed me to post on her site for her third year of The ABCs of Homeschooling Series. I chose the letter “J” (imagine that?!) and came up with “Just do…
Our school name used to be what we always pray to be–Happy Hearts Homeschool. We have dealt with severe attitudes over the years, but they get better every day. 🙂 Once the boys got a little older, they “outgrew” the name. Now we’re using H.O.G.W.A.R.T.S Homeschool. At first, we came up with Heritage of Grace…
(Note: This post was originally a guest post in 2015, which can still be seen here.) There are so many days that homeschooling is just another chore to do. For the kids…And for Mama. “Get it done, guys!” “Keep it moving!” “Don’t get distracted!” “Mama has two ears and four voices are talking. One at a time, please.”…
Disclosure: I did receive a complimentary copy of this unit study / curriculum, in exchange for an honest review. We are a homeschooling family consisting of Mama, Papa, 4th-almost-5th grade boy (Jeremiah/Jerem/JT/J1), 2nd-almost-3rd grade boy (Josiah/Joe/JB/J2), Kindergartner (Jamin/J-bug/JZ/J3), and preschooler (Jace/Jacey/JIP/J4). The big boys and I have recently been using the first Homeschool Unit Study in the…
Homeschool Day is September 12, and to mark the occasion, Dolphin Tale 2 opened in theaters. I had heard of Dolphin Tale, but had no idea there was a homeschool connection with it. It turns out that the people who run Winter’s aquarium are a homeschooling family! Also in Reviews I love to write reviews…
