Strong & Kind by Korie Robertson {Book Review}

When I heard that Korie Robertson, wife to Willie of Duck Dynasty, had a new book coming out, I jumped at the chance to review it. I have always found her to be so real, sweet, sassy, fun and wise on DD. I haven’t seen every episode, but I’ve come to admire each of the Robertson women, for different reasons. I think it’s so neat that her mom writes with her. 🙂

I just love that! This is what Jerry and I have been trying to get across on this site. Loving God and loving others while being real. Following Jesus and helping others in our path. This is what we want to do, and what we want for our children as well.

It was a joy and privilege to read about Korie’s heritage and how she and Willie have raised their children. Willies stories were great too. I love the down-to-earth language in the book. It was a pretty quick read. Now, the implementing won’t be quite as easy. Korie asks her readers to choose two character traits we want for our children. I admit I’m still thinking and praying about which two are most important to me. Since I need to live it out well, I don’t want to just throw out two of the most unrealistic goals, ya know? LOL.

I would recommend this book to any parents, young or old. It would be such a great gift for new parents!
