please say a quick prayer for our family.
our business ( is at a stand-still. i can’t tell you the last time we’ve had an order, and it was ONE order. we are working on changing and updating right now but until those changes are made, we probably won’t see any new customers, and we will probably miss Mother’s Day customers (which should be a big boom for us).
i have been living with the fact that my business just might not be good enough, or maybe it’s not going to be blessed by God, for whatever reason. my husband works two jobs, so this was just going to help take some of the weight off his burdened shoulders. i plan to keep it open, just in case something happens to change, but i’m no longer optimistic like i once was.
today i checked the bank online, and we are overdrawn for the first time in months (we have been borrowing from my mother, and my husband has put his foot down saying we will not borrow any more). i am so upset because it is MY fault. i didn’t check before i paid an online bill. it was one that SHOULD NOT be late and my husband made it very clear it was the top priority. but i still shouldn’t pay with money i don’t have!
please pray for us. money has never flowed over here and we are just really really struggling.
i know that it is our fault because of lack of planning, lack of wisdom in purchases and just overall bad judgement in handling our finances. honestly, without frivolous spending, we are BARELY making enough money to squeak by with all our payments!
you’d think that by now i’d learn. Crying or Very sad

thankfully my mom is going to help us out once again but i don’t know when we will be able to pay her back and that makes me feel so horrible. 🙁
thanks for your time, thanks for your friendship, and thanks for your prayers. i appreciate it more than i can express.

  1. I’m sorry you are so discouraged. I’ll be praying for you. I know what it’s like to not do well in the finances dept.

I know you’ve read these verses before but I just thought I’d post them anyway

25″Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life[b]?

    Matthew 6:25-27

    ((big hugs))

  2. Wow… That verse is very comforting, isn’t it? I should type it out and post it at the house.

I’m sorry things have been tough lately. I’ll be praying.

There is a new meme of sorts going on, and I would love to hear your version, if you have time. Here’s mine:

It’s pretty cool. I’ve been reading other people’s (even on blongs I’ve never read before) and the stories are amazing.

Hope to see ya around my blog soon. 😉 Been missing you!… Oh, I’ve also added a essay and a report writting by Jared. They’re pretty cute! 😉

    Love you!

  3. My prayers are with you Jenn.. Please don’t get discouraged.. Have faith…
I pray things will improve for your business and your family..
I think we’ve all been there in the financial part.. We are just starting to climb out of a hole that my dad’s funeral put us in.. I am just waiting for something else to happen to throw us back down into it.. (I know what a positive attitude I have tonight)
Sending you lots of prayers.. and well wishes..

  4. Hope you’re feeling better today :). ((hugs))

  5. Jenn, I’m sorry you’re having a tough time with finances. Once our cushion from when we sold our house to move to MN is gone, we’ll be living paycheck to paycheck again and thats no fun at all. Once the baby is born, I will place an order for some birth announcements from you. Now that we’re living so far from our friends, birth announcements will be a good thing to have so everyone can see the new little guy.

Also, I run a messageboard with over a thousand members (and growing every day!) and I will post a link to your business’ site on there. Maybe it will get you a couple orders. I will certainly try.

    Cheer up sweetie!!

  6. I’ll be praying for y’all, Jenn. I’m sorry to hear that it’s been so stressful. We can take comfort in the fact that God provides what we need… and even though it’s not always we need to be comfortable, it’s what we need to glorify Him. 🙂
