Carpet is down

carpet is down! and it’s lovely!!! hopefully tomorrow i’ll get some pics! 😀
shellie – to answer your question, yes i think abortion is wrong. PERIOD. an ectopic pregnancy where the baby is uncapable of being saved is the ONLY and i mean ONLY time i would consider it, because that is also life-threatening to the mother. other so-called ‘life-threatening’ situations i don’t really buy. tell me one and i’ll see what i think.
i have even run this through my head personally, what would i do if i had an ectopic pregnancy? i wouldn’t want to kill my baby, but my husband tells me it would not be a wise choice for me to die for no reason – considering the baby will not make it even to the first trimester. it would not be a responsible mothering choice, because my son needs me. and my husband needs me as well, so it would not be a wise choice in any case.
babbling because i am TIRED. sorry if i’m not explaining my beliefs well….

I agree as well. I do think it’s interesting that in this day and age of technology that the only ‘solution’ for an ectopic pregnancy is abortion. Sometimes I look at things too simply… but surely some doc out there could figure out a way to move the pregnancy DOWN into the uturus. I mean, we are all the time implanting babes via IVF… wouldn’t my proposed procedure just be the reverse? But, much like you said, I am now babbling.

A pregnancy that turns into preeclampsia at 20 weeks where the mother could possibly die because her blood pressure is so high. Her liver starts to fail as do her kidneys. Her babies are at risk too. One dies in utero the other is just there waiting to die along with the Mother. I’m not making this up. It just happened to a fellow blogger who suffered infertility. I’m very pro-life, but in that situation there is only one way to go unfortunately. The only thing that cures preeclampsia is birth. Babies at 20 weeks don’t make it.

I am also incredibly, diehard prolife, but I sometimes wonder if the death penalty ought not also be included in that platform…
