We already knew he has terminal cancer. He is not a candidate for chemo, but he could have radiation on the lymph nodes between his lungs, but that would be daily for 6 weeks. It would not cure, but decrease chance of suffocating. We can decide about that after he has another CT scan the end of July. That will show how it has changed, since we don’t know how long he has been dealing with this. He has some of the symptoms of cancer, but they can be attributed to other things–fatigue, shortness of breath.–we are to watch for swelling of the face, coughing up blood—If the fatique and weakness predate the stroke, they are probably due to the cancer.
Grandpa did not hear all she said. He said he would leave the decision of what to do up to Aunt, Me and Jerry. So we said he would have a scan in 3 mo and then decide what to do.
She does not know if it is Stage III or Stage Iv because she is not sure about the nodes on his right lung. The bone scan could be showing arthritis in his left shoulder.
She said he is T2, N2 and M?. (T = size of the tumor N= the lymph nodes involved by metastasis M= describes whether spread to other organs has occurred). So, she did not give us a number of months, but hospice care is for those with 6 mo or less.
Don’t know much else.

so that’s where we are right now.
i’m still very stressed, but jerry is home for a week, and he’ll be available to help me out more for a while. unfortunately, he’s also sick right now. sigh.
gotta go for now! blessings and hugs!

i continue to pray for your grandpa to get better, and be able to do things on his own. i hate when dr’s give and estimated time left to live. it’s so depressing! usually, the person always lives longer anyways. i want him to be able to see jeremiah go into kindergarten, and beyond!! i’m praying for you too, jenn. i know it’s a hard ordeal to have to go through! hang in there, you are doing a SUPER job 🙂

let me share you this.. it’s about my Fiance’s Grandmother. She got a cancer in the Blood, Lungs, Kidney and liver. The doctors said there is no hope she will NOT get cure.. she will die. The family lost their faith. But not Philip. Philip (my fiance) said that “God said, My Grandmother is cured so I’ll stick to that.. God is not a Liar God.. He said that my Grandmother is going home”

Did She? Yes. After she accepted Jesus Christ, and forgave all those people who sinned against her.. those 4 cancers dissapeared.

Remember Sis (always remember) I know you don’t forget this ^^

God is a HEALER God ^^
    God bless,
    Chette

    Hi Jenn, Jerry and ‘Miah,

Cancer runs rampant these days. So sorry to hear about Grandpa, I can empathize a decent amount.
I miscarried a few weeks ago. And with the PCOS, I’ve decided to go on Clomid.
It seems as though when it rains it pours, but we know the great Physician! We have hope. As Michael W Smith says, pray for me, and I’ll pray for you.
    LoveNChrist,
    Ellen
