jerry said since i’m up and eating right now to post a bit. nothing much to post! the contractions are about the same in duration, intensity and intervals. jerry just talked to the dr a minute ago, who gave us the option of coming in to get my cervix checked again, or wait until i can feel some real change before i come it. i chose the latter! those cervix checks are painful enough without having more than i need.
i am feeling a little better after sleeping. i was totally out – i love that ambien! i didn’t feel any contractions through sleeping until about 12, then i started waking up for them. i might try to go back to sleep again, but without the ambien, don’t know how successful i’ll be.
our doula let us borrow her birthing ball, so i’m going to try some things on that, as well as walking, squatting, etc.
you know what contractions feel like to me? when i had really really bad cramps during my periods, i had to stay home in bed, curled up with a heating pad. the pain was intense, and i cried often. this is about that pain level. about a 5.5 out of 10.
well i’m close ladies!!! the day is finally here!! i am thinking today/tonight is it…but he may hold out for his due date. which is his grandma gigowski’s birthday!
i am so excited about meeting him…sigh…
~~~~love~~~~
    I don’t blame you on holding out on the cervix check.
    I don’t blame you on holding out on the cervix check. They can be very painful at times. Probably wouldn’t be much change anyway since your contractions are still the same. Keep us posted when you can. Hugs
    You made a good decision! Those cervix checks were the worst part of my labor! I am not normally a hostile person but after being in labor for 40 hours, I wanted to *hurt* the next person who wanted to check my cervix! 😡 I will keep checking back and who knows, you may be part of the 20% who actually deliver on their EDD! :love:
    Wonderful! I think the decision to go home was best.
    Wonderful! I think the decision to go home was best. The less intervention the better! Here’s hoping your next post will be another leaving for the hospital post!
