Praise the Lord!

Praise the Lord!

well, the dr’s appt. was great all around.
my placenta has risen, and is in the normal place! yay!! so no need to worry about that anymore. thanks for all the prayers!
my gestational diabetes test was negative. yay!!!! my level was 133, and they consider it gd with 140, so i cut it close! just so everyone knows, the stuff i drank was NOT as bad as i thought it would be. they gave me a choice between orange soda taste or sprite taste, and i chose sprite taste, and it tasted JUST like it. the only thing was drinking it SO fast, when i had already just drank a bunch of water for my ultrasound. so that wasn’t fun, but it wasn’t the end of the world.
the ultrasound was sooooo cool!! first of all, the BOY is confirmed – there is NO DOUBT!! 🙂 he is head down now, and we hope he stays that way!!! we got to see his little face, which was full and chubby!!! he was looking right at us, eyes open and everything. we could see him open and close his eyes, and we saw the eyelashes!!! he kept opening and closing his mouth too, and he had the hiccups during the u/s. probably from the glucalose!! we got a pretty good frontal shot u/s pic (not as good as the video), but as you know, our scanner isn’t working yet. 🙁 sorry. she said he weighs a bit more than 2 lbs, and is about 14 inches long. she said his legs were very long! yay! we saw the chub of his thigh too. he looked muscley!! he is measuring pretty much normal on everything. 🙂 🙂 he was SO adorable!!!!! 🙂 it was so awesome seeing him again. his heartbeat was 155 again. 🙂 edited to add: so far, no hair can be seen on his head! i was almost bald at my birth, and jerry THINKS he remembers his mom saying he had a head full of curls when he was born. so who knows – he has plenty of time to grow hair, right?! 🙂
i weighed in at 180 1/2 lbs, and he says i can gain another 15 lbs and be fine. 🙂
well that was the great news!!! i’m so thankful that the Lord answered our prayers once again, and we are both healthy and safe still!! 🙂 🙂
hugs and blessings!

Hi there. I’ve just stopped by (we’re due on the same day!).
Hi there. I’ve just stopped by (we’re due on the same day!). I am so glad that your glucose test was good and I agree that it didn’t taste as bad as everyone kept saying.

It’s so amazing that you got to see such detail on the ultrasound. I don’t even know if we get to have another one at this stage (my 28 week check-up is tomorrow so I’ll have to ask).

Congratulations on your pregnancy (seems funny to congratulate someone who is 11 weeks away from having a baby!) and I hope these last few weeks go smoothly for you and your family.

  6. I am so glad to hear the good news of your visit!

Oh, I am so jealous over all your wonderful ultrasounds… But mainly the videos! We never got a single video from any of my babies 🙁 I would have wore them to death, watching them all the time! LOL!

He sounds too cute, and I can’t wait to see him!

    Hugs
    Julie

  8. Happy halloween sweetie- So happy over your good news- I weighed
Happy halloween sweetie- So happy over your good news- I weighed more than 100 lbs than you at this point in my pg! Plus we saw them smile in our u/s but it was hard to get full body shots at this stage cause they were so crowded. Sean got hiccups in the womb alot and even after he was born! Also they were head down but at 32 weeks they both turned around! sean kept moving -he would turn around during the stress tests. Bryan sat right on my cervix ans I think he didnt move again- so I had a c section of course! I hope you dont have to do that because recovery is more difficult than a vaginal birth. It sounds like your feeling better to- take care!

  9. I am so glad to hear the good news of your visit! No GD and No p
