I never would have thought that I’d be saying this, but I’m actually trying to go gluten-free. At least for a week. My goal is to try it a month, then see how I’m feeling. So far it’s been pretty easy, so I know the craving will hit me hard really soon!
At first, Josiah was really upset when I told him about it. He was worried that I would eat all of his gluten-free goodies. *giggle* I pointed out that with me eating gluten-free too, we are sure to keep enough things in stock, without him running out of things. Like his cinnamon rice chex. That is something that I also love, so I’m going to make sure it’s in the house somehow. 😉
I just started this on Friday and I have already been able to tell a difference in things. My tummy doesn’t feel bloated and gassy after eating a meal, and it doesn’t LOOK three sizes bigger after a meal either! (You know how people joke about needing to wear their “stretchy pants” before eating a big meal…I’m pretty sure it’s the wheat that’s doing it!) and surprisingly, I haven’t felt really hungry in a short amount of time, like I thought I would.
I’m still watching my weight. 166.6 this week! Slowly but surely, that flab is coming off! I hope to be going to my friend Amanda’s exercise class soon, too. I’m looking forward to that! 🙂
I hope everyone is doing well. With Facebook on the scene, I don’t know if anyone ever reads blogs anymore, but I really like having a record of my thoughts, sporadic though they may be, that is more accessible than Facebook.
