Grace & Truth exists to point people to Jesus! We hope this link-up will be a source of encouragement each and every week. If you’re a blogger our hope is that you’ll use this space as a way to meet new friends within the Christian blogging community. If you’re a reader our hope is that you’ll meet new bloggers that love Jesus just as much as you do! Most of all, we hope you’ll meet Jesus here.

At the beginning of each new link-up week, the Hosts will post their favorite post of the week, to be “featured” (see below for directions on how to be featured!). Welcome to week 3 of #GraceTruth’s link-up! I hope you are enjoying getting to know new faces, new sites, and new beautiful words. I have been blessed by my visits. We had a sad loss this week, but hope to be up and at ’em from now on.

One of the first posts I read last week was When Grace invites work addicts to dinner by Anne at Front Porch Inspired. I have to say that Anne had my vote from the first few sentences I read. I even told her in the comments that someone else would need a spectacular post to knock her off the top of my list.

The post is a beautifully woven word picture of what Grace really is, as Anne shares her story of legalism. She compares works to a drug that a legalistic person needs to get a “fix” of every day. I would love to quote the whole post, but I’ll let you read it. I just have to share at least a tiny bit (but MAKE SURE you go over and read the whole thing):

I wait, without that stockpile of goodness to hide behind. I wait, craving something to chase after and to achieve for Him. I’m still jumpy to run to earning His favor, securing His love. But, He says it’s my withdrawal. That means it won’t last for ever, I tell myself, and Redemption will win.
And, Grace keeps calling for me, inviting me to come out from behind that stockpile and to face Him – just me, no do-good mask on and no badges of God-glorifying victories on my chest. Just me.
It’s vulnerable here. It’s raw and shaky. But, praise God, the call of Grace is relentless.

Thank you, Anne, for sharing your words with us and for being my featured post this week. I think you might already have this button, but if not, here you go:

Grace&Truth-Rules2

1.) Follow your hosts via their blog and/or social media channels. This is not mandatory, but appreciated!

2.) Leave 1-2 of your most recent CHRISTIAN LIVING posts. Please do not link DIY, Crafts, Recipes, etc. Links of this kind will be deleted. We also reserve the right to delete posts that don’t align with the theme or that are deemed by the hostesses to be inappropriate.

3.) Visit 1-2 other links and leave a meaningful comment! We want to encourage community, so please don’t link and run!

4.) All links are randomly sorted – feel free to link as early or as late as you’d like. The playing field is even!

In order to be featured next week:

5.) Grab a button or link back to encourage new linkers. This is not mandatory to participate, but is required to be featured. Any place noticeable is fine – within your post or in your sidebar.

6.) Each host will choose one link to feature and promote via their social media channels next week.

7.) By linking up you agree to allow the hosts to use your featured post image if you are chosen as a feature for next week.

JennAbout Jenn: I’m a Christian wife to an amazing man (since 1998) and a stay-at-home-teaching mom to four special & incredible boys (born in 2004, 2005, 2007, & 2009). I’m messy and cluttered, but working on that (really, I am!). I’m a discouraged perfectionist and a classic procrastinator who probably has both ADD & Autism, so I tend to jump from topic to topic (and activity to activity) without notice. My Love Languages are Words of Affirmation and Physical Touch. I’m an INFP who enjoys friends but loves to be alone. I love getting and giving hugs, and encouragement is a Spiritual gift of mine that can too-easily be turned into the weapon of discouragement, if I’m not careful. I enjoy writing, singing, words, drawing, photography, digital creations, and reading. Oh, and pizza, tacos, and steak. Now I’m hungry. That reminds me; I eat gluten free and try to eat organic and avoid white sugar and GMOs as much as possible.  Find me on Facebook (Writer/Editor page) (Fan page), Twitter, Pinterest, or Instagram.
