Welcome to Grace&Truth Week 4! It’s hard to believe another week has flown by. It seriously feels like I just posted yesterday!
This week, I chose to feature the lovely Elizabeth Diaz’s post, The Dreaded Women’s Retreat, because it resonated with me so much. I’m an introvert, so hanging out with people I don’t know well freaks me out. But I also related with her own personal struggles. Depression? Check. Weight? Check. Unruly kids? Check. Elizabeth learned something important at her retreat though, and I hope you take the time out to read her whole post. Here’s a snippet for you though:
My struggle to conform? I’ve truly had to find my identity in Christ. I have never quite fit in any circle because I’m the most conservative in liberal circles and the most liberal in conservative circles. There are many issues where I fall somewhere in the middle. I often reach for my Bible to search out what God wants from me and sometimes I’m not sure. I don’t think this is a bad thing. It’s how God made me, and it keeps me seeking after Him. I am beautiful in God’s eyes, even if not always in my own.

About Jenn: I’m a Christian wife to an amazing man (since 1998) and a stay-at-home-teaching mom to four special & incredible boys (born in 2004, 2005, 2007, & 2009). I’m messy and cluttered, but working on that (really, I am!). I’m a discouraged perfectionist and a classic procrastinator who probably has both ADD & Autism, so I tend to jump from topic to topic (and activity to activity) without notice. My Love Languages are Words of Affirmation and Physical Touch. I’m an INFP who enjoys friends but loves to be alone. I love getting and giving hugs, and encouragement is a Spiritual gift of mine that can too-easily be turned into the weapon of discouragement, if I’m not careful.
